Does anybody have experience??If my daughter ends up going to school in the mountains, I'll end up getting either another 4x4 or AWD.I've owned 4x4's in the past (bronco II, exploder, pathys) so I know how they do. Just wonder how a G35X would do in rough conditions.

This is my first awd car but I've owned many 4x4s in the past. I've only had the car for four days, but we had a huge dumping of snow on the weekend, so I was able to take it out for a fitness test. I'm using the factory all seasons and didn't have any problems as long as I didny get too carried away. It was freezing rain all day today yesterday and still not problems.

I say you buy her a truck, give it a 3' lift and slap on a set of 33' Mickey Thompsons. Guaranteed she wont have any problems with the snow!

What ever you do, get a set of winter tires. 4 x 4 only helps when you are on the gas (which is still nice), but your breaking and handling come from the tires. All season tires are ok for the first winter when they are brand new. After that, they just don't compare. If you have ever been in snow with true winter tires like blizzak or X-Ice, you will never be without!!!

Hey svt you know my opinion so I don't have to say it.

Seriously I think the track would do better do to the higher body. Get her a ford ranger they are really good and not too big.

g35sedanlover that should not be an issue. Because you have to change the tire on the car once a year anyways. So you end up having a new one every year. At least that's what I got. I tried winter tires before to be honest they are awesome but when the road is dry no snow then they are loud and rough.

Thanks guys!Currently, she has a 00 Max SE that would probably do OK. If they get a big snow, she can just stay put.

I was thinking I would want something 4x4 or AWD for me. Just not sure how well a G35X would do in the snow in the mountains.Sounds like it would do great on winter tires, but I do not want to invest in extra tires. More than likely, I would have something like the Yoko Avids on it like I recently bought for the wife's G.

When in Snow mode, do all 4 wheels have power to them??
