I am deciding between an a TL-S, and a fully loaded G35x. I should be able to get the g35 for just a bit more than the acura, from what I've heard. I have heard that the Nav system is disabled to various degrees during driving - how much is disabled? I commute to work, and would want to be able to change routes if there is traffic. Is this possible? Can you look up a restaurant while driving? I saw the post about a small chip mod, but I would have no idea how to install this, so I would be stuck paying someone hundreds of dollars to do it. Has anyone compared the TLs and G35 sound system? What do you think? I am really torn on the decision - the all wheel drive and slightly nicer interior are important, but the disabled nav and much worse mileage (i drive ~18000 a year, so mileage matters) are dissapointing. Thanks for all your help.

The nav will automatically reroute you if you get off course, but will not allow you to input a new address while driving. You can look for restaurants using a quick stop feature, which will locate the nearest 5 to your current location. It can also guide you to hotels, gas stations and ATMs this way as well. It just prevents you from taking your eyes off the road for any long period of time. And inputting an address does take some time to do. I'll have to check, but it may allow you to select from some addresses in the address book.
