Well, I guess we've had enough snow in CT this winter for me to formulate the opinion that the factory installed Goodyears on my 2007 X suck in the snow and t'aint much better anywhere else. Not sure how everyone else feels about them? Yesterday, on the way to work I was doing approx 50mph (the snow button was on) on a snow covered highway connector to Bradley Airport. I hit a patch where the snow was about 2 - 3 inches deep and I started getting sucked hard into the guardrail. Luckily I grew up in Vermont and knew enough not to overcompensate and stay out of the brakes. As I slowed down I regained control, but not after doing a lump check in my trousers. Yes, I know I was probably going a wee bit fast for the conditions, but I know my 2005 X with Bridgestones was much, much better in the snow. Bottom line, I want to get rid of the Goodyears this summer. What tire has the best ALL YEAR performance and is good in the snow, too?

Well My G35x has RS-A goodyears and they are just wonderful. I've had not even the closest amout of trouble plowing through 4 inch deep snow down where I live. In fact, i had to GIVE my car trouble to see it work. You probably had your tires under or overinflated.

P: Last winter, they were OK, but still not as steady cornering as the Potenza's that were on my 2005. This winter, with 23k miles on them they've put me in precarious positions more than once. I agree that as far as not getting stuck they're fine in a straight line, however, not so cornering. On several occasions this winter I've made 90 degree turns into streets with a little snot on them (at 5 -7 mph) and the car oversteered and tried to go straight. It brought back bad deja vu of my BMW 540i with the S pkg. Turn the wheel and nothing happens. I've really not been pleased with the AWD this winter and my next G will be sans X and avec S! In the meantime, I've got one more winter before the lease expires.

As with every topic here on NICO there are lots of varied opinions.

Here is my post when I replaced my tires.

I now have almost 35k miles on my replacement OEM Bridgestone tires.Expensive, yes but I am happy with them & would purchase the Bridgestones again.
