Thanks to input from this forum I have bought my wife a 2006 G35x. We are both very happy with the vehicle. However, it came without an owners manual and I have searched on this forum for explanations but can't find what I want: So I'm asking here. I would like to know how the AWD system works ie; is it full-time, part-time, even front to back, or does it modulate input to each wheel to keep grip equal: Also, how do we use the two switches by each knee? I just put new snow tires on but I work away from home and I'd like to tell my wife what, if anything, to worry about if it snows. I read the FSM but it didn't explain how to use the switches. And I didn't receive good info from the salesman where I bought the car(Kia dealership). Any info will be appreciated.

BTW, changed the belts first thing and thanks to the FAQ info, was a piece of cake.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. When purchased, the passenger daytime running light was off, so I tried to change the bulb. Again, used FAQ FSM info to remove bumper and stuff but couldn't get enough slack in the headlight assembly wiring to undo the wire plug to the lights. And couldn't figure out how to undo the connector to the side marker light on the fender(didn't want to force it), just couldn't figure out the trick to it. Any suggestions on the two connections? Plus, after admitting defeat for now, and putting it back together, I've noticed the daytime lights sometimes work so there is a problem in the DTR light module, which I've seen the repair guide address. Anyway, how do I get more slack and how do I undo the marker light connector?

Thanks.

From when I read about it a while ago it was based on the Altessa system, so should be around 90% to rear until it senses that front power is needed.

See if the FSM can help:

There are owner's manuals in PDF on the internet...Google '2008 G35 Owner's Manual'
infinitihelp has them I believe.
