G35c headlights

My friend has a 2003 G35 coupe, and he's been wanting to get these overlays for the lights, but they're listed as for 2006 G35 coupe. Now I know that theres projector lenses in the 2006, but has the overall shape of the oval/circle lenses changed? Looking at some pictures of 2006 and pre-2006, it kind of looks like the 2006 lights might have a somewhat different shape. Or maybe it's just the camera angle.

Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks.

I understand that overall the shape is the same and that I can do a direct swap, but I'm wondering if the outlines of the lights within (the main headlamp and the foglamp) are the same, because the overlay is going to just cover everything except those areas (and the signal).

I'd have to look at two side-by-side to be sure. But, from an economical standpoint they probably are, in fact, the same. I cant see Infiniti changing a mold just for replacing HIDs to the projector style.

I've confirmed they are different. The guy selling the overlays said the 2006 has a different shape, which is why he made a distinction between 2006 and pre-2006.

Hah I knew I kind of noticed a different shape, but I was thinking the same thing, that it seems uneconomical to change the mold just for the projectors. But I guess they did. Thanks for your input, though.

Actually I take that back...the guy said there's a different construction to the overlay, but he didn't particularly say there's a different shape. So I guess I'm still unsure.

EDIT: I got it confirmed today lol...they ARE different.
