Looking for help / ideas. I have a 2007 g35; my home is 1920's vintage with no garage. When it rains for more than 12 hours, the Intellikey warning light goes on and the car won't start. The electronic systems all come on; only the ignition does not work. If this happens while the car is running, the engine will not shut off.

Once the car dries out for about a day, it's fine.

The dealer has looked at this problem a few times and could not figure it out. They tried replacing the computer and resealing the batter compartment, but it had no impact. My regular general mechanic can't figure it out, either.

I've come up with a workaround, which is to cover the car when it rains. So, this isn't a horrible situation. But it's a hassle, and any input would be great.

you are getting moisture inside one of your engine harness connectirs. Imfiniti is known for a specific connecter to accumulate moisture and cause a no start or other electracal malufunctions. Call another Infiniti dealer and ask about this problem and they can either tell you which plug to clean and put dialectric grease ( i would also electracal tape wrap it.) or take it to a another dealer. My dealer informed me of a specific engine plug that is troubsome if moisture gets to it, however i cant remember which specific connector. Infiniti should be able to give you details on a reasonably inexpensie fix for your problem.
