G35 whining noise

Sounds like the power steering fluid is low but that's not is. Could it be the serpentine belt. 145K and it has not been changed.

Definitely replace the serpentine belt if it's that old!!!!! While it is off, inspect every pulley for ease of moment and wobble. If it needs to be replaced, now is the time. A bad pulley bearing can cause a whining noise.

I change fluid just now after the check At check light came on. The fluid was very bad news low about 2.5 qts
