Hi everyone...

There are a lot of OEM Infiniti wheels for sale here in South Florida - here is one example on 2007 G35's brand new that have been sitting in a garage since 2007 -
Will these wheels fit my 1999 Q45T with stock suspension?

Thx
H.

should fit no problem. You will need to get factory lugs though since your Q uses the acorn style and the newer cars are using a mag shank style lug.

Tires size is almost identical, offset is going to be pretty close as well. Definitely an upgrade over stock....

Thanks White -
yes - that is the hardest part - trying to figure out the offset - and if they will fit - And thanks for the tip about the lug nuts - I would be learning the hard way on that and didn't even think about it.

I read the y33 has a 41mm offset - so if the offset number is lower will that cause the rim to sit farther out and be farther away from the axel?

Badq told me to stick with trying to find FX rims and then mount the lower profile tires.

Now I found out the q50 rims might work also - which really is interesting since there are some really nice designs on that model. I am still looking and there seems to be a lot of parts cars out there with decent rims here in south florida

Honestly your wheel choices are pretty endless with 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Lexus wheels, mustang wheels, infiniti wheels, really there is a lot that will work. You really shouldnt have fitment issues unless your car is stupid low and you are running VERY low offset.

Any factory nissan wheel with exception to Z wheels and such are gonna be high offset. fx factory 20s are cool. as long as you get appropriate tire size I think just about any factory wheel is gonna clear the brakes and have reasonable offset.

(just for some reference)
Same as what ive got
BMW 19s with adapters. these are 19x9 and 19x10 and effectively are a -1 offset

Your10 spoke wheels look really nice on this - but I don't want to roll the fenders and since I have a q45t it would mean BC-Coilovers and not sure if I want to VIP the car yet or lower it - I was looking at some 19 G37 sport rims - Yes - I know the 5x114.3 is common to a lot of cars - I am still learning about off-set - the 1999 q45 shows 41 offset? So yours looks lowered on 19's and with this offset you said you had to flair the fenders - is going 19 with stock suspension not going to work then or do I have to pay close attention to the width of the rim and offset? thx - still working out all the other details.... Another Nico peep says try looking at the FX wheels also...

That is not true. The offset from 06' Infiniti cars do not fit, the offset is much lower and spacers are required. I don't know the specifics of the G wheels, but the safe bet IMHO is FX 35/45 or 02' to 05' Q45 wheels. I believe others from other cars will fit, but check offset.

Thanks and still looking Jeff - I had a lead on FX set in Miami and they got sold too fast! I found second 35SX set and he only has 3 of 4 - the 4th got destroyed in wreck - I spoke with a local guy and he indicated the G35/37 wheels may fit - but I am trying to get the specs.

Honestly just about ANY oem nissan 5x114 wheel should fit. The offset on the stock y33 wheels are high just like even the g35 awd wheels.
A decent setup that would be slightly wider but still an easy fit should be stuff like 350z, 370z, M45, G35 coupe, ect. 17,18 and 19" options.

I believe the FX45 wheels that are 18in and 20in are an 8" wide and a 40mm offset so they will sit slightly wider than what you have now but plenty of clearance on the inside and towards the fenders.

So the moral of the story is just get some decently sized oem wheels with the correct tire size you need.

17" is a 225/50
18" is a 225/45
19" is a 225/40

As long as you arent getting tires any taller than those aspect rations you should be fine if you are worried about clearance.
