G35 wheels for ex35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I've bought 2008 ex35 that for some reason has 215/55R17 tires installed on aftermarket wheels. I'm going to replace the tires with the correct 225/60R17 size.
I'm wondering if i can still use the existing wheels with the new tires. Not sure if the wheels size will fit...
As i understand, 215/55R17 is g35 tires size, but I can be wrong...

Thanks.

It doesn't really matter whether or not the tires currently on the car are the G35 size. I think what matters is that the tire size on your car strays too far from stock size, which you obviously plan to address.

You can most likely install the correct sized tire on the existing rims. You already know that the diameter, bolt pattern and center bore are compatible with your EX. The only other things you might need to worry about are the width and offset. The OEM wheel width is 7.5", and the offset is +45mm.

As long as the aftermarket rims don't stray too far from those original specs, you shouldn't have much of a problem. If you're still worried, have a wheel and tire shop check out your wheels prior to purchasing your tires.

Thanks, the tire shop had no problems to install the new correct size tires on the existing wheels.
I just wanted to be prepared if I needed to buy new wheels before going to the tire shop... :-)
