Guys, the thing that i dont understand after reading a lot of posts is that people in acura rsx's, civic si's, neon srt-4's, mazdaspeed3's, etc.....are always going to "challenge" or "call out" g35/350z owners in a race or whatever.......the thing that kind of irritates me is reading things like "i smoked this civic si or acura rsx that called me out" and "i have this many civic si's under my belt in my g35"...is that really bragging? i dont really think it is.....those ricers are not in our class.....the point i'm trying to make is.....people in cars like that are constantly going to yell out facts like lbs/hp or quarter mile times or whatever they want, because thats all they have.....they are constantly trying to justify why their car should be discussed in the same class as a g35.....the bottom line is....we dont buy these cars to go out on a friday night to race at red lights...the g35 is a very classy car....its beautiful inside and out wheras their turbocharged civics still look like crap on the inside....AND in addition to that, it CAN smoke those little ricers in a race if they want to turn into vin diesel or paul walker at a red light haha.....why dont they ever try to compare anything else? because outside of lbs/hp they know their role.....

HEhehehe

you tuned yourself up pretty good. hehehe

Anyways, here is how I see it. Most of those ricey boys can't afford any better then what they have. Because they can't afford better they try to prove something is better with their car then the other more expensive cars. If you ask any honest ricer they would love to own something better even if it is slower or lest lbs/hp or whatever.

A few answer here.

First of all. They just spent a few grand and months building their POS to be more than it really is. It's their method of justification.

Kind of like how my I30 could smoke an SRT-4 with a bad driver all day long. I was proud of the fact that my I30 cost me around $5k with upgrades and could still beat most of the ricers.

2nd, we all have performance cars. Some of use (the ricers) had to pay a lot of money and do a lot of mods to make their car a sub-high performance car, but it's still there for the same reason.

As such, we compare. Go check out one of Infiniti Chica's threads and reference "Comparing pen15 length".

Third, we still have the lb/hp advantage. Unless one of those civics guts out their car and pushes 10 PSI, we're going to have more power for our weight.

I don't take pride in burning hondas. I take shame when I drive poorly and they take me.

I can't wait to drop 400-500 lbs off of my G

There are a few of us here who bought the G35 becuse of its quality and smoothness. Mine is smooth and quiet and I love it that way. I really don't give a crap of some mutant thinks I'm going to make his day by letting him dictate how I'll drive my car. I just don't care who beats me at the stop light.

Now, those tards who think the 1.01 spaces between me and the car in front of me is theirs for the taking, well, for them I do put another 1/8 inch of gas into the VQ and quickly make it .8 spaces. That's about as agressive as I normally get.

I had an altima gxe... 2.4 L, and pretty lightweight.... I had it riced to the max baby, ALL EBAY PARTS, and I was still able to smoke a brand new SI... ha ha,... he was pissed.

For me, it's not about power, and winning at the lights, it's about expression, having a car that represents my personality, keeping it fresh, unique...

And the whole process of the project from waiting for parts to ship, to installing myself. cars rule my life... kinda, just don't let the GF read this

That's all...

I'd have to say- more often than not, people in Civics, Corollas, TCs, and trucks bother me most... they buzz around me or constantly try to show me up. Drives me crazy. It's gotten to the point where I have to just let it go because there isn't much I can do to prove myself, even if I pass them up, they're relentless, and I'm just wasting my gas. Hah!

I have more fun with TLs, 330s, et cetera...

For the most part we are men and need something to compare. *cough* Until we reach the age where we are content with just getting to our destination we will always want to race. It is our nature. It makes the daily drive a little more exciting. Specially for us that work a ridiculous amount of hours a week.(64 hours this week!!!) Me i just love to take off fast but usually quit at 50(or posted speed limit). I don't know if thats weird or not.

I do that to. A friend of mine who works with the Sheriffs office said I could use the excuse of "I was trying to get in front of traffic so I could avoid bad drivers and be out of harms way." He said that he and some of the other guys let people off for that now in Florida as it's not necessarily a display of acceleration.

Sometimes I act like an a**hole when i see someone wants to drive fast. I stay side by side with the car next to me so the rice rocket can't pass. They get so pissed while i'm just having a great laugh.
