That's really funny. When I graduated college I knew what I wanted and longed for, but my parents wanted me to at least test drive a honda accord, I did and was ugly and no fun. I was at home needless to say with the G. How could this guy or woman even consider the G and the accord in the same league in terms of speed?

I once went at it with a Honda Accord coupe and I was surprised at how much gap I gave it. I actually thought that the guy was trying to slow down. I later found out that he wasn't . The car is heavy but very comfy, and so is unable to pick up speed fast enough. Its manual trans clutch is so smooth, its almost like a clutch does not exist at all. It had very minimal torque.

when i graduated college it was RWD, AWD or nothing... so a honda didnt even get a thought... (s2000 is too small, NSX too expensive) as well as about 70% of all cars made now a days...

that was on a honda forum so they had a bias to even put their car in the same category as a G35...

i had a honda ricer try to stop me from passing him on a two lane road... his honda made alot of noise(trademark lawn mower) as i passed him going from the top of 2nd to 3rd gear throwing up the duces

Please don't use the H word on our forums. It is offensive to Real Car owners. (If you have one as your second car its ok since the greatness of the infiniti overshadows the flaws from the H car.) My whole life I've been All Nissan. Nothing else. Thats why I'm like this. Front wheels are for steering. Not for putting down power. Unless you're in a family sedan or hybrid.

lol...not all cars are comparable.

Its like saying a focus can beat a corvette.

Now a better comparison would be the Nissan Altima and the V6 Accord. Both inexpensive FWD cars.

Funny how little some of them know about their car. Where did they gewt all these "problems " with the G? Like one was saying the shift knob shakes like crazy.

Thanks for sharing.

Want to talk about lack of knowledge? I had a H**** guy tell me about his brother or something getting a new FX35 for $35 grand fully loaded. I said really? how? he says he bought it as a nissan. the Murano. I wanted to hit him, but felt pity for his deprived automotive reasoning. I asked him to take a simple look at the front ends and to tell me how on earth a longitudinally mounted V6 that uses a 4 foot long hood on the FX works on a 2 foot Murano front end. I told him they weren't nearly as related as he thought. That the FX is a brother of the G and the M, and that the Murano is the sister of the Altima and Quest and Maxima. But he couldn't grasp that. I elaborated, and eventually taught him something about automotive design.

I was the original owner of a V6 Accord EX Sedan. I drove it for 9 years until I replaced it with my G35 Sedan.

The Accord is a great car, but the G is a different class of car altogether, IMO. The G is superior in pretty much every category with the exception of reliability. I'd say the Accord's reliability is "Excellent" and the G's reliability is "Very Good".

I considered the move a significant upgrade, especially in the area of performance/handling.

Now the G37 Sedan pulled a 5.0 and the AWD Coupe a 5.2..also depending on the source.(This source quotes a sub-5 for the Coupe, not sure how reliable that is though)http://www.modernracer.com/infinitig37coupe.html(Here is the 5.0 link)http://www.motortrend.com/road....html

It seems Darwin lied to you Altima owners...just sayin'...

if your altima stock does under 6 sec for 0-60. then that means my g stock must be like a super car with something like 4 sec flat 0-60.

Hey suby,

I'm still babying my car till i get to at least 1000k. All i can say it when i put that throttle down 1/2 way....It sure feels like a supercar to me with a lot left in reserve lol. Can't wait to open her up on the highway in a week or two!

As a former proud owner of an 03 3.5 Altima, i know that they are quick cars. But they just don't even compare to the G.

Well, the 3.5 altima coupe is much better than previous years...but you still are stuck with that damn CVT transmission. Those things suck. SOOO glad they didnt put that SHIZ into the G.

Take those heavy wheels off and replace them with smaller, light-weight wheels, then you'll feel it even more.

I was talking about the g35 coupe, auto or manual, not the g35 sedan or the g37 sedan or coupe. so yep I'm still A-OK!
