********** VEGAS INVASION 5/21-5/23 2004 ***********

I am leading a group leaving from L.A./O.C. on Friday night. you are also welcome to hook up with us on Sat AM, either at the bowling lanes, the DAM cruise, or at the afternoon showoff. PM Me with any questions... Cheers, ted

Fiesta Hotel and Casino is located 5 miles SE of The Strip. As of 4/10/04, there're 140 rooms available @$99/night.

We recommend that you make your reservation on your own terms. If you have any problems with that, you can PM SoCalTed, and we'll be happy to assist. Of course, you can stay elsewhere, but it'd be nice if we could all stay in the same place (not to mention easier).

The contact information is as follows: 777 w. lakemead dr. henderson,nv 89015 (888)899-7770 or (702)558-7000 www.fiestacasino.com

Friday- Hook up at Barstow ~8pm, Roll into Vegas ~11pm We will meet up at In-N-Out burger in Barstow across from the factory outlets. You can grab a burger there then roll.

The address is: 2821 Lenwood Road, Barstow, CA 92321 (Exit Lenwood off 15 north)

Target time to be at Fiesta Casino is 11pm Directions: Take 15 North, exit HW 215 East (exit #34) toward Henderson. After the Stephanie Street exit, it becomes Lake Mead Drive.

Fiesta Hotel and Casino will be on your right, after you go UNDER the HW-515 overpass. Total drive is apx.157 mi.

Friday- 12-3am: Mixer at Timber's Bar, with reserved room. 1450 W. Horizon Ridge, Henderson, NV 89012

From Fiesta Casino to Timber's Bar & Grill: Turn West on Lake Mead (toward overpass). Continue straight on this road until it becomes 215. There will be an exit for Stephanie Street- merge onto the off-ramp for Stephanie, and turn left at the light. You will see a gated community to your left after about .25 miles. Immediately across the street from the GATE, is Timber's. It will be the first building in the strip mall to your right. It can't be missed.

They serve great food there, there's a bar, 2 pool tables, and a hand full of p0ker machines. It's open 24/7. Those who are under age can hang with us too, but if they kick you out (not likely), GEO's place is literally 50 yards away. He'll be more than happy to hook you up with anything to do.

Saturday- 10:30am: Bowling @ Sunset Lanes 4565 E Sunset, Henderson, NV 89014 (702)736-2695 Start out going West on W LAKE MEAD DR (toward overpass) Merge onto I-515 N/US-93 N. Take the SUNSET ROAD exit- exit number 64. Turn LEFT onto W SUNSET RD/NV-562 W. Turn LEFT onto E SUNSET RD/NV-562 W. Make a U-TURN onto E SUNSET RD/NV-562 E These directions will be made more clear at the meet with a map?the roads there are needlessly confusing (W Sunset RD and E Sunset RD and perpendicular to each other).

They offer bowling, gaming, and casual dining. Will rent some lanes and let the matches begin.Depending on time, we will have 'Coupe vs Sedan' and '6MT vs 5AT' rounds of friendly competition for world domination and bragging rights.

We will have lunch here while waiting for the second group to come in before we head out for the cruise.

Directions from LA: 15 north.... Merge onto I-215 E via exit number 34 toward MCCARRAN AIRPORT/HENDERSON. Take the exit number 8- toward SUNSET ROAD/MCCARRAN AIRPORT. Merge onto PARADISE RD. Take the SUNSET ROAD exit. Turn LEFT onto E SUNSET RD/NV-562 E.

Saturday- 1-3pm: Dam Cruise A scenic cruise to Boulder City, across the dam, we will stop at an elevated parking area for a group photo with Hoover dam in the background and then turn back. GEO is working with his friend about taking an aerial shot from a helicopter of the Gs as they cross the Dam. Another possibility is a cruise through RedRock Canyon if dam cruise does not happen due to construction. GEO will make a dry-run of both and check them out few days before.

Saturday- 3/4pm: Show off cars at Green Valley Ranch, top deck. 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052 (866) 782-9487 or (702) 617-7777 go all the way up to the top floor and turn left- the farther-out area will be cordoned off for our meet. Here we'll have some games perhaps and awards (SoCalTed is working on this).

Saturday-7/8pm: Dinner at GVR's buffet. Wide selection, good price, and selected as Las Vegas' Best Buffet in 2003

Saturday- 11pm: Optional shuttles/limos leave for the strip. We can decide at the meet where we would like to go ahead of time, but you are more than welcome to play it by ear and go wherever you want to go. If you would like to drive your own car there and back, you are also more than welcome, just be safe and realize you may spend a majority of your time getting to a space on a Saturday night We will have a list up to see what people like to do on the strip in this time frame. The more people that take the shuttle/limo, the less it will cost. If most of us go, it will be at most $15/p for a limo to and from the strip.

Saturday- 3:00am: Shuttles/limos leave a pre-determined meeting area on the strip, and head back to the hotel. If you would like to leave before or after, again you are more than welcome to arrange for your own transportation.

(~$20-$30 for a cab, less if you share a cab/limo).

Sunday- 12pm: Depart Fiesta Casino meet at 76 Gas station in Primm,(state line) and head back home
