I received this e-mail but I never inquired about the Turbo Kit. They made the whole thing up about my inquire:

Hi i am sorry that my response was not as prompt asusual i have been very busy. In response to youre-mail "i am very plesaed that you are inquring aboutthe PE turbo kit and in answer to your question the350z and the infinity g35 have the same engine and thesame chassis, the only difference in the two is thefront bumper area so the PE turbo kit will work foryour car however the intercooler piping will have tobe customly fabricated to fit. The price on the kitis $8450.00 and it includes headers, downpipe, intercooler with all piping, an aluminum oil pan, injectors, fuel pump, the turbo with the piping, and aregulator. As for any other part that i mightrecommend: the kit by itself is all that you wouldneed to safely get 400bhp out of your car, PE'srecommendation for street use is around 350bhphowever.For racing use we recommend that you have your pistonsand connecting rods reinforced if you would like to gohigher than 400hp reson being is that we tested thiskit and at about 435hp the connecting rods snapped. You will not need an ECU, i can give you all thetunning details if you would please tell me at whatrange of power you are looking at achieving and forwhat use this information is so that i can give youoptimum results. This kit is capable of pushingwell-over 500hp with engine reinforcement.

We also carry boost gauges with built-in boostcontrollers and a pro-racing oil filters for yourneeds, please e-mail me back or call me at (760)945-0348 my name is Kenzo and i am here Mon-Satform 10:00AM-7:00PM (pacific standard time) or juste-mail me at this adress, once again i am sorry aboutthe delay and i look forward to speaking with you.

-Kenzo

Hmm,

Could be more like spam instead of scam.

I wouldn't put it past the more aggressive shops, to email known enthusiasts like this.

Did you give your email to anyone working at a vendor at the last meet?

Fred....:)

PS: I am glad to hear you sported our NICO sticker at the recent NorCal meet.

Did anyone else want one?

I know I just wanted to ruffle his feathers. When I ordered my intake online or ordered something for my car they must have got my address. No big deal, it was kind of interesting, to bad I didn't have $5000 to play with.

The details about their email were partly wrong and a bit vague. The G35 and the 350Z are not built on the same chassis. The G35 is on the skyline chassis. This makes it wider (which gives it a beautiful stance) and longer than the 350z. The whole bit about "reinforcing" your connecting rods and pistons is a bit hokie. Thanks for the warning GeeThreeFive.

Both cars have the same width, but the G35 has a wider wheel base. It is also longer, higher and weighs 228lbs more than the 350Z. And obviously you get 7 less hp.

But a correction, both cars are built on the Front Midship platform.
