G35 Transmission engages hard

Car: 2006 Ifiniti G35

I just bought a 2006 G35 with 104k miles. When cold the transmission engages into reverse or drive very hard. Once warm it engages smoothly. Shifting from gear to gear also seems fine. It is just that initial engage that is hard.

I have a 3 month warranty and wanted to get opinions on this before I take it back to the dealer. I'm sure they will say it is just peachy ;)

Do you know if it has a shift kit or other valve body or spring modifications in the transmission? What about an aftermarket ECU tune? What's the condition of the fluid?
