G35 Taxi in Toronto

I've seen two in Toronto different ones in the last week. New G35's simply being used as regular taxi cabs. I guess I shouldn't be suprised, I've seen my share of I30 and newer Volvo cabs in this city. Besides, you can't drive 2 or 3 blocks in this city without seeing 2 or 3 G35's. The G's are as common here as Impala's, Tauruses, Cavaliers and Sunfires.

I can't say that I've ever seen a G cab. Seems like an expensive car to be using as a cab, but I am sure that the customers like it better than some beat up caprice.

It probably requires less long term maintenance in than a beat up caprice.

Europeans use M-Benz taxis all over the place ... I have no complaints riding in a G instead.

I hear that Honolulu allows their officers to use personal vehicles as their patrol cars... guess what they're using (G35's!)
