I was all set in line to race a s2000 that had been running 14.7-14.9's all night. Then the focus got out of his car ran up to the spotter and pointed at me. I LOL, this guy just doesn't know.Jacko3 wrote:Jeff:
Nice! That Ford focus must have been dazed.

Finding a stock one is the problem.... stock for stock yes. They are sooo easy to modify.
The G37 is a couple tenths slower then my sedanTeflonG35 wrote:Friday was my first time at the track without racing. The one time I go there not to race and there is another G. A spiffy new g37 was there and did 14.6. I wanted to race it soooo bad because I know I'd get atleast a 14.4 or quicker. It was much cooler that night then when I raced last. Also I have the fan conversion now.
I am sure I can get a 13 on these tires they are so fast off the line.
I may go to California for work later this year and I will be sure to run at sealevel when I go! I know my car is a mid 13 second car at sealevel in go weather.
last night 2.1-2.3 when its cooler 2.0audtatious wrote:What were your 60' times?
yeah I knew what the end result of that race would be, we had all been watching that stang beat everyone. it had that nice raspy exhaust sound with a cackle on rev-down that you can only get from a camed 5.0 Ford.G_whizz wrote:That 1 Mustang made it look like you drove a Focus..
Those would be a good deal for $100. That rash isn't that bad but it LOOKS scary. A good tech inspector at the track may not let you race over it. Usually they just glance at your tires but if that caught their eye you could be out of luck.TeflonG35 wrote:Hey Jeff.
Would these work do you think?http://delaware.craigslist.org/pts/787672734.html
Fujita intake kit and 23" tall tires are my only mods.AddictionG35 wrote:Out of curiosity, what mods have you done to your G? It's not stock is it? Just curious.
For sure, once the mod bug bites it is impossible for me to stop....Sentientbydesign wrote:Jeff is stock IIRC. He doesn't allow himself any mods for good reason.
Hey Jeff,
Let me know when you come out here to Cali. I'd love to run against you. I'll need to swap out my clutch before then, but it would be nice to actually get on a track with a seasoned pro.
I got booted for missing the clamp on the overflow tank hose LOL..... my hemi ram didn't come with a clamp because the overflow box had a flared fitting.TeflonG35 wrote:Lol I'm pretty sure cobra r rims on a G will draw someone's eyes.
I may offer him $100 after I get paid.
I dident know curb damage would get you kicked out of the lanes.
I don't think all cars use this type of system for the throttle body. I know on the hemi ram it had electric heat for the throttle body.zozoka1212 wrote:you bypass the throttle body coolant. That helps to lower the intake air temperature. Not to familiar with it since I always lived in cold climate. You are ok as long as not reaching to cold weather.
Here is a little more not G but mazda6.

I know on my Kinetix plenum that I it removed a coolant entrance around the throttle body. It just gave me something to connect 2 coolant lines together. I'm not sure for certain if it was to the throttle body. I did the install a long time ago. And My old stock plenum is in my moms basement in maryland. So maybe he does have something.zozoka1212 wrote:you bypass the throttle body coolant. That helps to lower the intake air temperature. Not to familiar with it since I always lived in cold climate.
