So sorry to be such a newb about all this but... Just to be positive, I CAN install a JWT Z-tube pop charger with the 5/16 plenum spacers AND an MREV2 right, or is the MREV2 supposed to be used without the spacers? I have the 2003 5AT Coupe. And after I install the intake, spacers, MREV2 and exhaust I DO need to get it Dyno'ed and tuned right.

Welcome,

If you want to find out how much whp (wheel horsepower) your car is making then you should dyno it before you add everything and then again after to see the difference. If your not worried about that, then you shouldn't need to get it tuned or put it on a dyno, unless someone is willing to do it for free, then i'd say go for it. I'm not too sure about the mrev, but everything else is bolt on power

I believe you are not able to run the MREV2 and spacer at the same time with the non-rev up motor (which I think is the motor in your car). Unfortuantly, without fuel upgrades it will lean the car out too much and will most likely cause damage to your engine.

^^ That is correct you CAN install the JWT Pop Charger/ Z Tube / and 5/16 Spacer. But there is no need for the MREV2.

Sorry...not sure how I missed this thread my bad

I thought that that an 03 would need and MREV not an MREV2. Am I wrong?

Check with Joe at everythingg35.

I was under the impression that the spacer CAN be used with the MREV for 03's

From what is on Everything G35,

The MREV2 should be used without a spacer on the standard engine, unless fuel/ECU modifications have been performed as it may cause the engine to run lean.

Im thinking that , you CAN use the MREV2 without spacers , but no ecu/Fuel Mods ,

Ill Call up a few friends of mine and see if they put MREV2 and spacers in there G's

-----EDIT-----

MREV2 should be used in RevUp Engines to get the most power out of it , otherwise just stick with the Plenum Spacers

Sorry about the bad info

Ah! God I love this forum and you guys, you guys are so helpful! I really hope that as I go along, I can be able to give advice on some things to people as well. So, I went ahead and placed my order for my Exhaust, Intake and Spacers. Got the Stillen Cat-Back and the JWT Pop Charge with the Chrome Z Tube and the 5/16 Copper Thermal Spacers (One of my NCO's said I should get the Copper cause of the snow and cold temperatures in Germany during the winter). I think I am also getting the Clear Side Markers soon. I didn't get to talk to Joe, I forget the name of the guy, I DID talk to. So all in all, I should probably forget about MREV (not the MREV2) as well?

I would talk to Joe and find out for sure... but I would say forget about MREV and MREV2, I think the MREV came out for the REVup Motor and then the REV2 was released as like a upgraded MREV. But if I am wrong feel free to correct me.

I'm glad you guys know what you're talking about. I was about to buy a mrev2 for my 03 sedan. Now I don't know what to get . Back to the online searching.

You can put one in, just not in combination with a spacer. The gains will not be as good compared to the 05+ engine. I recommend you just get the spacer/CAI/CAT-back exhaust for now. Later, you can go big with an FI system

Hey guys! this is a great thread! I have a 04 G35 Coupe.. no mods yet.. I think i am gonna go with the JWT Pop charger / Z-Tube/ 5/16 spacer / Stillen Exhaust combo as well.

However, before i order all that, I was wondering does doing any of these mods void my manufacturer warranty?????? cuz I recently bought extended warranty for another 3 years..

Nope, only mods that cause a direct failure of a specific part on the car will void the warranty. Intake/exhaust mods will be fine. Suspension is gray area...some dealers will not cover problems associated with suspension parts if there are suspension mods. But lets say you have suspension mods, and your radio stops working. The warranty will still cover the radio...

Dealerships also have the burden of proof...if you were to install a supercharger and blow the engine, you could take it out and they would have a hard time proving anything...

Just spoke with Joe at EverythingG35, just to clearify on the MREV/Spacers thing. He said the same thing that you all pretty much just said, if you have the 6MT then you can do a MREV but if you have the 5AT then you don't need it. He also gave me some cool ideas for "next step" upgrades to the engine. Headers and cams, not sure if I will go that route at least not anytime real soon, but it's definitely something to think about I guess.
