Hey I got a couple questions I'm hoping I can get answered;

Been doing some research on the stock Bose Audio setup in my 2005 G35X; I have an aftermarket Sony double din head unit (DVD/MP3/USB) and the factory pop out GPS.

Question #1. I am currently using the basic wiring harness (for your regular Nissan/Infiniti deck hook up), just wires no RCA's, to my Sony double din head unit, speakers seem to be powered just fine, but using just the basic wiring harness am I not making use of the factory Bose amplifier located in the trunk? I figure that if the speakers are working that the amp must be on or am I mistaken? I am pretty much a stereo wizard but every time across a wiring harness on the web they have the RCA hook up's. Just wondering if I switch the harness to the one with RCA's (Metra or equivalent) will it give me better sound? Or will it not work with the Sedan for some reason?

Question #2. I have the stock Infiniti pop out navigation system, I have located the wires for the GPS Voice, from what I have read I will have to run those wires to the rear amplifier to bump up the volume. When I hooked up them up to the front left speaker via wiring harness to the Sony HU, it was barely coming through with the windows up. I know that these wires are very low current but just want to make sure this will solve my problem before I tear the console and everything apart again.

PS. Anyone looking for a great steering wheel control module, go with the Axxess Interface setup, works great relatively easy install and automatically detects your vehicle and controls.

Thanks in advance for your response!

You could have used a PAC ROEM-NIS1 to install the Sony radio and you would not have any problems as it connects to the factory wiring.
