This is something that we're working on now, and I thought that I would share it with you guys.

This setup belongs to Tim who has been a TDC customer for several years now. He originally bought his G35 Sedan for his wife to drive, but ended up taking it for himself. He had a Turbonetics turbo kit with a Precision PT61 installed and tuned, and turned to modding the rest of the car for about a year while boosted. One night out on the street, Tim's head gasket went, and instead on repairing, we decided to upgrade.

Most people know that we do LOTS of 350Z and G35 work, so the VQ35 is not a new endeavor. We looked into a sleeved block at first, but Tim wanted something a little more eye-catching.

Enter the 2JZ-GTE swap

Power goals will be 550-600whp for now, with plans of building for over 1000whp next winter.

They build will consist of:2JZ-GTE EngineR154 transComp twin diskPTE67 turboHKS fuel rail and injectorsMAP ECUand much more....

Lots of parts will be custom built at TDC, so check back for details and updates!

First, the VQ was tossed to the side.

This is the new customized subframe. After it came back from powder coating, it was installed in the car.

Here is the motor in the car for the first test fit...

Other side. The intake manifold is out for polishing.

And one with the Turbo half installed

Thanks.

Give Chris a call at the shop. He may be able to work something out. 864-574-8588

For the record, when this one is done, we should be doing an RB26DETT swap into one of our customer's 350Z. Should be fun.

How about you do the rb on my G instead. =]

How much would you charge for that, out of curiosity. All parts and labor included.

Sweet setup. Those engines are pretty stout. Stock block on that is good to like 700 whp right?

How much is the total swap estimated to be?

First, sorry about the late response. I didn't get notifications.

For a basic swap, you're going to be looking at around 10K. There's a lot of parts involved to make everything work right and be reliable. Plus, 2JZ parts are expensive by nature.

Transmission is ready to go!

Took forever to get the 1jz bellhousing from Toyota, but finally.
