g35 radio/AC goes on and off

Any ideas? I have 2003 G35. Every now and then the dash behind the radio goes off. The AC kicks on automatically and you can't shut it off. Also, the only way to turn the radio station or volume is through the steering wheel control. Their is no light on the radio and you cannot change anything on the AC/temperature controls....thanks for any help!

This should be the standard problem that is well known. The radio and resistors for the HVAC on the back of the radio are known for going bad.

Can check aroudn locally to find a place to fix it. Or some online places will do it. Like this one: http://www.shortcircuitrepair.com/

Or you buy a new/used factory radio.

Or you buy a kit to remove the HVAC stuff off the radio and buy an aftermarket radio.
