When it said easy installation, I really underestimated it. I can't even put the trim on the heat shield. I really know what to do, im looking at a table full of car parts with no idea how to install them. The instructions mention nothing about how to install the Z tube so im really confused. I need help!

The Z tube is simlpe, goes in place of the OEM G35 intake tube, with the flexy piece towards the front. Attach that first.

Then attach the MAF tube (the part with the wiring attached to it).

Then attach the filter, the heat shield, the brace bracket, and the stock intake "scoop" over the radiator.

Take your time, don't stress - it's an easy one. We'll help.

Reeceman,

I put the z tube in my sedan. and am probably going to move forward with the pop charger. Are you totally satisfied with it?

I was going towards the stillen CAI but I think I may just get the pop charger.

I did the install myself tonight on the ztube and popcharger. The sound is pure goodness. the power gains are not too bad. about what i expected from a simple bolt on intake. I know the CAI will give better power gains but if you already have the z tube, might as well get the popcharger also to top things off. at this point the CAI will cost you a lot more to get into. over all the car seems a lot happier and more responsive. it just seems to drive smoother .... next....... exhaust

At full throttle, in any gear, at any speed you will here this deep sucking noise. It seems at about 25% throttle is where you get the hissing sound, which is perfect (my friend refers to it as a poor man's turbo ) When coming out of a turn i give it a little gas and i hear the hissing noise...after this its hard to not gun it. as soon as you lay into it and it opens up you will be surprised, no doubt about it. But driving normal, around town, you can get it to sound pretty close to stock. Overall im really happy with mine!

Your car WILL NOT sound like a suped up civic...don't worry.

It keeps the nice low growl not like a bumblebee on speed

The Ztube and popcharger will only be the beginning...trust me. It will only satisfy you for so long...then you'll catch the modding bug

at first i decided to wait on the Pop charger Z tube, so i went out and got a new K&N Air filter and replaced the stock one..........WoW, i know the K&N filter only adds a little, but I love the sound ! and NOW can only imagine what it would be like with the Z-tube combo !! I think I will go ahead and order the combo.......How much am I looking at spending ?

wonder if I can get my 50 bucks back for the K&N ?? haha

sorry, but what exactly is the pop charger ? the filter...and then what is the Z-tube ? I saw a picture of just a pop charger, then saw a pic of pop charger Z tube combo, and didnt notice anything different ? Does the Z tube replace the entire black stock tube ?

The Z tube is the intake tube from the 350Z, hence Z tube. The difference is, and you'll see this when you do the install, is that the G35's intake (G tube if you will) has a chamber to lessen the noise the intake makes; the Z tube doesn't. Its the same materials, same basic shape, the Z tube will increase noise at WOT. If that doesn't bother you, go ahead and get it. If it does, then its really not necessary, you won't get much power out of the Z tube compared to the G tube.

As for the tough rubber seals (probably the hardest part of the install), the side clamp that comes with doubles as a good tool to spread the rubber out a little to get them on, especially around the scoop on the car as it is quite a bit thicker than the heat shield. You'll see what I'm talking about when you get it.

Reeceman! Good to see some Dallas presence on here. I just put mine on a few weeks ago, along with some other parts (plenum spacer and MREV2). I was way too lazy to do it myself - kudos to you for taking it on like that. We gotta compare cars/mods in D town some day.
