I like many of you hate my dipstick and it's location.

Do any of you know of a way to install an oil level sensor? Does such a thing exist?

I have to use a flashlight and it takes me 5-10 seconds more to replace it than it does on our other car (MDX, 1992 Volvo 240). Problematic-- yes, but hardly worth the headaches and grumbling that many espouse. I hardly notice it anymore until someone posts a question about it here.

Yes it is a bit of a pain but just check your oil once a week in daylight while parked on level ground after the engine has been off for 20 minutes. Its a small hole but just put it in gently.

The issue is more that the damned thing is bent twice and normally bangs it's way up the little tube.

And as much as I don't mind changing my own oil, I loath having to check it.

What dumbass engineer put it there so that the intake tube was right in the way?

Anybody else know of a sensor?

It would go in your oilpan...not the most fun place. I say just check it bi-weekly.
