Hi folks:

I did a search and read quite a bit about the products used to treat leather. I didn't see any reference to the perferations in the leather of the G35. When you slather on the conditioner over the perferations, how are you getting all the excess off?

Thanks for your expertise.

The conditioner I used for my wife's Lexus was a spray, kinda like Armor-all, but I used three applications.

There's no real way to remove the wrinkles from the leather. You can do a couple thing to prevent them though. Either use seat covers or spring for some quality leather cleaner and conditioner (Lexol works great).

Only use enough product to do the job. Any extra should wipe off easily with a terry cloth.

Lexol is the best that's easily available.

Leatherique is awesome for restoring older leather, and I LOOOOOVE Zaino's "Leather in a Bottle".

Zaino = Online only.

Their paint protectant > any store-bought product.

I used Lexol until I ran out. Now on Zaino. Much less messy to apply and smells great as well. Personal choice, Lexol is still a very good product.

Yep - The smell of the Zaino is worth the extra few bucks!

Seems to work quite well.

You got it, Hitman... Leatherique. They have a cleaner, and a conditioner that work awesome. (Only available online like Zaino, as far as I know). I totally restored a sun-damaged leather steering wheel in my '95 BMW 525i. It turned out great. As for the smell, (someone addressed that), any leather conditioner that has the right ingredients to nurture the hide will likely not smell the greatest.

Haven't tried Zaino yet, but I may. The rest of their products are pretty high quality.
