Does anyone know where I can buy this Z-tube???? I have already tried Mossy Performance and they will only sell it as a whole cold air intake. I just want the g35 tube... Thanks for any info.

Chrome Z tube, it's pricey though.

With 3 OEM parts suppliers here, why would you call Mossy?

Contact Midway, EverythingInfiniti, or Pinnacle - Ask for JUST the Z-tube.

Should cost around $50 with your NICO member discount.

Thanks for the help. I contacted mossy cause I liked the g35 logo with the chrome... But ended up going through everything g35 with the all chrome z-tube. It should ad a nice touch under the hood but yes it was about $130 with rushed shipping. Thanks again for the input.

sorry for bein such a noob but does changing any of the intake change the sound or engine "note?"

i've read on other forums of other cars that it does, but in combination with changing the exhaust.

The z-tube definitely changes the sound under the hood, but only at WOT. Combine that w/a new exhaust and the G sounds down right mean.

YES! When you replace the stock intake track with an aftermarket type without the extra bends and chambers, the sound will definitly be louder. I love how the Z-tube/JWT sounds. Also, I have a stock exhaust...Almost sounds like a supercharger

is there any need to change out the exhaust without any turbo or super chargers?

ive been thinkin about swappin the intake system, but not to cold air, and have been super iffy about changin the sound...cuz it sounds sick enough right now

Actually, there is little restriction with the stock tube. There is one chamber down below and I've read the diameter of the tube is slightly smaller. That would be some restriction. The Z Tube alone is not that loud, but put on a Stillen or POP charger and it begins to really howl at WOT.A plenum spacer makes it even louder. If you did a dyno I doubt you could dig up more than a 1 hp with the Z Tube. But it sure sounds like it means business.

I answered this question for you already above your last post??

We have ALL kinds of sponsors here. Search the site and check out everything NICO has to offer!

Theres more here then just the G35 forum

Are you getting an intake as well? You'll want more then just a Ztube

I already have the popcharger and was hoping the tube will help even more. I hear mixed feelings on the combo.

All the Z-tube really is is an intake tube without the sound baffles that are found on the G35's intake tube (which are not found on the 350Z, hence Z-tube). The G35 being a luxury car, has these baffles, the Z car being a sports car does not. If you don't mind a louder sound coming from upfront at WOT, then by all means get it if you want. But if you don't want more noise, then don't get it. If you are looking for it to help more in terms of power, you won't get much of anything.

hey guysBeing new to the scene I was asking my mechanic about cold air intakes for my '03 G35 Coupe. He said for the gains you run the risk of damaging the sensor for the air intake?? Also... I live in a cold climate for part of the year... any considerations when choosing a system?

I am interested in making some of these mods but concerned if it would effect the sensors etc.

Opinions, advice?

it's almost time to start a new thread with these topics.

CDNG35 - i've never heard ever of a CAI system damaging a sensor. they're all over the place. don't worry about it. i'm sure the rest of the guys here will back me up. i did A TON of research before i did any of my mods and i never came across damaging the sensor.

Moeeyayo - not sure the money/time would be worth the extra gain (if any).

I have an as-new Z tube for sale, $50 + shipping.

[email protected]

And there is a noticeable increase in HP. In fact, Nissan Sport Mag did back-to-back dyno runs with it, I believe they saw 5+ hp.

Warranty question re Z-Tube:

I asked the Infiniti dealer if I installed the intake tube from a 350Z if it would void the factory warranty and they said it would and NOT TO DO IT. Does this sound true?

i'd say it's BS. ask the service/parts manager or someone who would really know. that's a mod that many of us have done and have not had that response.
