Hi I just completed my sr swap in my s14, Instead of using the walbro fuel pump I went and got a G35 fuel pump. I figured that since its a 6 cylinder it has to flow better than the stock ka fuel pump. So i put it in, started the car and even at idle you can tell its running rich, I checked fuel pressure and the fuel psi is good with vacuum applied to the regulator. I dont even know if its the stock injectors since the motor had alot of goodies when I bought it. The injector are gray, stock??

Even if the fuel pressure is good can somehow the g35 fuel pump be putting more pressure in the injectors an thus making the motor run rich.

The engine's ECU decides how rich the engine is. The turbo 300ZX and GTR fuel pumps are upgrades as well. They work fine on SR's. Part of the problem with using fuel pumps from these cars is that they are at peak pressure at all times. While when they are in their proper cars there is a circuit that varies the voltage based on the amount of fuel needed. So they arent running at 100% all the time like they are in a 240SX. How can you tell without a wideband or other emissions checking devices that it is running rich?
