Its not that the part is faulty, its that the sensitivity is beyond extreme. any tiny fluctuation in perfect voltage, or momentary brainfart between module/control/can system will set off a code, and regulations tell us to replace the item. Even though, 99% of the time, they are fine. I have never failed to explode an airbag that had to be replaced. They all work fine. Its just procedure to replace it, thats all. In my G20, the fault light came on, I cleared it, and its never come back on since. In some countries, they do the same, and in collisions, it still goes off fine, like nothing ever happened.
