My buddy is selling me his mufflers from his infinity g35 coupe and was telling me that I'd need to get it custom fabricated. Can anyone vouch that this is true and or about how much it'd run me? I just want it to be more throaty.

That's correct....the G35/37 muffler will not be a direct fit for the Altima coupe, and will require customization.

You're better off buying the Borla axle back for the Altima coupe.

Do you know how much the custom fabrication would be? He's selling them to me for $75.

A lot less than the Borla axle-back. most shops in my area would charge ~$200 to just modify and bolt something on, if not less. It really depends on the work needed. See if your buddy will let you take it to a shop for an estimate before buying them.

I was also thinking about a straight pipe from the cats back and possibly throwing a resonator on there

"Cut resonator out put in a test pipe. Do same with mufflers. If its the 3.5 v6 it will sound amazing" has anyone done this? If so how much was it

I put the y-pipe, straight pipe, and dual mufflers, and does it indeed sound amazing.

That's before I had the Y-pipe put on. It's one long pipe with almost no bending, 2.5". I've been meaning to get some sound videos, very Z/G like IMO. Refined when driving as such, and snarls and some volume when on the throttle.
