This may have been discussed already but my search didn't turn up an answer.
Is a G35 engine an almost direct fit in a Pathfinder/QX4, at least as far as the mounts and transmission are concerned?
Has anyone here done it?

Theres really no point, its the same thing, with some variations in the parts used. And our engine being for more torque and truck type application and that one being more for a car, hence the g35 makes more hp, but less torque if i recall.

our vq35de is pretty good already. I would not change it for the g35's vq35de unless you really plan on going heavy installing lots of aftermarket parts for it.

In this case there is a point, if you have a QX4 with an engine that swallowed the infamous power valve screws, did damage and the most prudent option at this precise moment is an available G35 engine then it makes sense to give it thorough consideration and do some research to find out if it is a reasonably direct swap as far as the major mechanical issues.
Likely the cams, heads and intake system would be different, maybe the pistons as well but since the two engines share blocks are the mounts and transmission mounting the same?
If they are, then it seems like a reasonable direction to go.
BUT.........

In bbrandt11's case, eight power valve screws came loose and caused damage - see his thread here.
