Hey folks, I am a DIY guy who just bought a 03 G35 Sedan and am learning to do all the fluid changes. I can handle the oil fine, but was looking for some help or directions on how to change the Diff Fluid and ATF Fluid. I have already purchased the oils. (Matic J for the Trans and Royal Purple 75-90 synth. for the diff). Any instruction on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

lol i'm here! hhaha...

well for the diff you need a size 10 hex head wrench or socket...remove the one on the bottom and let it drain out, and make sure you keep track of the little washer under the bolt. then put the bolt back in and remove the one on the top right side and fill it until it runs out the top...the put the top one back in and ur done.

as for the transmission...there is a 10mm bolt holding the dipstick in which is behind the motor kinda hidden. raise car...remove drain plug and let drain. replace plug with NEW CRUSH WASHER! these are the same crush washers you use for the oil drain plug. reinstall drain plug and put about four quarts in the transmission thru the dipstick and run the car for a few min to get it warm then check the transmission fluid and add accordingly

Thanks for the great response! I have already changed the Oil and Differential, and found the Trans fluid tube in the engine compartment, but I called the Infiniti dealership to ask about how many quarts of Matic J to use and they told me that the transmission takes 12 Quarts, yes I said 12 Quarts of Trans fluid. And if I just drained what was in the transmission pan, it would only be about 4. So they recommended me bringing it in and having them flush it and adding the 12 quarts of fluid because if I just changed 4 quarts then there would still be 8 quarts in there of old fluid. Is this true? And should I take it to them in your opinion.
