hi everyone i'm new here. but yea i was curious about my topic. i will soon be an owner but i've been very tempted to just wait till next year for the new model. but any way. what do u all think. i guess for the hypothetical a stock 06 35 coupe vs integra gsr with chip, intake, exhaust. i guess about 200 hp. which would do better? i'm thinking the 35 would but the integra weighs about 2000 lbs. thats about 1500 lbs difference even though there is a 100 hp difference. so i was just wondering what you all thought

Integras weight closer to 2600 lbs stock, depending on year and model. If the one you are looking at is 200 lbs, then it probably has no interior, no A/C, and no interior panels. If this is the case, then you are probably looking for nothing more than a race car. With a driver, you're probably looking at a power to weight ratio of about 11(based on your numbers). In the G35, with a driver, you're looking at about 12. If the Integra actually has it's interior and A/C, and weighs close to stock, with driver, the power to weight ratio will be closer to 14. Both integra numbers are assuming this 200 HP you stated it has.

This is kind of an apples to oranges comparison. The G is obviously much higher in price, much more luxurious and fast in factory form. The teg will be cheaper in price and amenities, probably louder and less comfortable to drive around daily. It also has less of a bling factor if that is a concern. If you're considering the new Infiniti Coupe, then it's not a bad car to hold you over. But specs on the upcoming coupe haven't been released yet. You could get the teg and wait to see if the new Coupe is really what you want or pick up the 06 G35 Coupe later. Since the teg is a used car, you'ld lose much less of the value when you sell it as opposed to a newer car. If you decide right as the new Coupe is coming out,you may be able to score a killer deal on the 06 G35 coupe as well if that ends up being what you want. Ultimately though, you have to decide what is best for you...

If your looking for HP/speed, get a EVO, STi, etc. These are 2 different cars , let alone the price range.

My opinion , My first car was a honda civic , then a prelude, then accord. To me Integra/civics are imature kids car with fart cannons. The 35 is a luxury sport with best of both worlds. Not to mention it is the fastest car I own out of the box. MAD TORQUE YO !

I would put my money on the G35, I mean you rarely see Integras with NA mods hit low 14's unless they have FI or the car is gutted. Now if you put in a GSR motor inside a civic hatch, thats a different story.
