i just saw the new G35 :drooling god what a sweet looking car on my way to the deptfort mall i parked right next to it...it looks like the 350 but it seats four and it comes in auto (well atleast this one was) the only thing i don't like about the car is that it is delaing the arrival of the skyline come on nissan/infiniti just release the beast all ready!...hmm...i wonder who would win the 350Z 287hp vs the G35 280hp? :rolleyes

You need to go to a dealer and look at one. All infinity! They are so sweet. Flatscreen and navigation that rises out of the dash, infinity sticked into every inch of the leather interior, 280 RWD. Although I have always considered the Audi S4 a dream car, If I had $35g right now I think it would go on a G35 coupe.

I'd kill for either a 350Z or a G35 coupe.

In the latest issue of Car and Driver (no one seems to respect them much), both the G35 Coupe and 350Z were added to the 10 best list. Although the G35 pumps out a few horses less and is heavier, they preferred the G35 over the 350Z for the more refined interior and usable back seats. I believe the wheel base on the G35 is longer as well.

i'd agree. i'd totally choose the G35 over the 350Z... 350Z is nice, but G35 makes for a better daily driver that is still sporty and fun. not to mention my G20 has made me particularly attached to leather interiors.

just as i suspected damn car and driver. they are so bais to luxuary then power. i'll take the 350 b/c im a sporty guy. i like to drive hard on daily basies. i hate leather interior because i keep getting the $hit zapped out of me everytime i step out of my mom's buick.

that doesn't make sense... with leather seats, you should be less likely to get zapped than cloth seats... the zap is due to static electricity... electrons literally rubbing off the seats and on to you... you'll get that off cloth, but off leather??? civics are notorious for this... i have 3 friends with civics and have been zapped by all 3 of them...

:) so the G35 isn't sporty? just because it's refined, doesn't mean it's not sporty. would you say the M3 isn't sporty because it's a luxury vehicle? i wouldn't say that Car and Driver were prioritizing on luxury first, then power, but when you think about the fact that the G35 alone is already pretty powerful, adding the luxury tips the scales in its favor. it's a better "balanced" car for little performance sacrifice.

When shifting above 3500 RPM in my '04 G35 Coupe 6MT I experience a "buzzing" sensation in the clutch pedal, does anyone else have this problem or know what the fix is/

From my experience the G is a little faster than the Z. I have had a couple of encounters with Z drivers who think that they can just whip up on my ole G, but they have proven wrong. The Z is listed as having 7 more hp, but you can't tell.

The car is very nice with the exception of some of the interior plastics. The interior overall is extremely nicer than the Z's. I also prefer the looks of the G to that of that Z. But, I of course am biased since I bought a G coupe.

new Z are ugly.. I can't stand that stupid door handles and the cheap plastic cover for the center compartment.

I rather have the G35 coupe .. the only thing I don't like about the car is the streering wheel, other than that it's all good, and also not too big of a fan of the sedan version either.

I believe that the 350Z comes in automatic too doesn't it?

You can get both the 350Z and G35 with a 6 spd or Auto

That's because your mom is driving a BUICK homie!! There's probably a bad electrical ground somewhere. I remember when I was a kid, my friend's mom had a Cadillac. We'd always get shocked coming out of that damn thing. Right down on the frame rail, getting out of the backseat.
