The Coupe looks a lot cooler and has some upgrades in materials, different sheet metal and of course is available w/ the 6speed well before the sedan will.

However the sedan is a VERY good automobile as well.

Can't go wrong with either one.

All Infiniti bias aside, I really do think this is/will be the best looking non-Italian car on the road. With the sedan selling as well as it is, the dealerships aren't going to be able to keep coupes in stock. I've said in the past that the design fixes everything that is quirky on the 350Z and everything that is boring on the G35 sedan.

although i've haven't seen either up close and personal, i agree. the pics i've seen of the coupe make it seem to be a much more sexy car then the Z. actually the coupe reminds me more of the Z32 then the new Z.

This is from Nissan's website for the Z.MT 20/26AT 19/26Since the coupe and the Z are putting out the same power and the two cars are very similar, I would imagine the G35 coupe is very close if not the same. I expect maybe 1 mpg less if there's extra weight for the back seet.

I also would consider the coupe MAYBE over the Z, but I would want some stats on the handling, suspension and ride. i had seen a pic of the coupe with the same big brembo brakes as the track model Z. but if the coupe can offer the same handling as the z i'll take the coupe. same price with cheaper insurance, a "just-for-looks" back seat and a luxury automobile.

I think people won't like it as much once it hits the streets. Looks very tall, esp. in the rear.

I'm waiting to see if the sedan gets the extra power, LSD, and other goodies. Also eager for a CVT.

For those of you who don't know,

The G35 coupe and 350Z are built on the same platform. The only difference is the G35 is a 2+2 where the 350Z is just a 2-seater. The G35 couple shares more in common with the Z than the G35 sedan. None of the body panels match to the sedan.

I still like the Z better. It is just screams "sporty". The G35 couple is also very nice looking, but hints "luxury," although it is still a sports car. Don't get me wrong, I'd take either one in a heartbeat.

Torry,I had to go by Regal Nissan last Saturday and some guy pulled up in the 350Z. Man!!!!!!!!!! that car is SWEET!!!! The exhaust note on it sounded SO good!. I'm not sure which model it was, but it didn't have Brembo's so I know it wasn't the track edition. Who cares, I'd take any edition! BTW, it was the silver, gorgeous paint.

Then on the way home I passed a Daytona Blue one! Woo wee!:ylsuper
