G35 Coupe or G37?

Brand New to the forum. I owned a 05 G35 5AT in 05, but due to too many speeding tickets, I traded it in for a BMW 5 Series to calm down. Now, I'm getting the Infiniti bug again because I miss my G so much. So I've been debating whether to get a G35 6MT Coupe or the G37 Coupe. What are the pros and cons to each car? Any opinions would help.

Welcome to the Forum. Which car would be better? I'd go with the G37 if the price isn't a problem, that way you get to chose color and options. (assuming you buy new)

Without a doubt in my mind, I would go for the G37 automatic or maybe a G-35 6MT. I know how you feel, bro. There is something about an infiniti that calls on you. I have the bug too, if you have read some of my posts. It is what it is!

What feels better to you?

I personally prefer the exterior of the G35 over the G37. But... the G37 Interior is gorgeous!! Don't let the power difference in the G37 sway you... for the extra money you would pay for the G37... you can easily take the cash and mod the G35 to make it quicker.

Thanks for the replies guys. I like the G35 exterior more also, but I do agree that the G37's interior is nice. Right now I leaning towards a 05-06 6MT G35 Coupe, then taking the $ that I saved and modding it.

The G35 Coupe is a more beautiful car and it's lighter... Plus you can easily make it faster then a G37.

Get a 2006 for somewhere in the low 20k area + $2000 in mods and you're much faster then the G37.. for 15 - 20K less...

I too agree with you guys that the G35 is sexier outside...but the G37 interior is way better. However a big reason why i say G35 is the sound. As beautiful as it is, the G37 just doesn't sound the same.

yup, oddly enuff, the new HR engine sounds more raspier - they did change the whole intake/exhaust system to be truly symetrical - dual intake, dual exhaust, same piping on each side - better? - output is higher anyways... once you get use to the new engine's exhaust note - it is still a delight.

I'd go for the new G37 -personally because in pix, it looks odd, but in person, it super-sleek and phat*

The 19" wide tires also add to the monsterous stance of the car... looks shorter than the G35....

also, other than the awesome interior, the new optional Infiniti Studio on wheels sound system is alot better [I heard the old G's bose system needs help, and I have the new G,with this updated sounds system] - alot more advanced sound... Check it out first... test them both

Test drive both of them, but the G37 would sound sweeter to me. Wait for the 2009 g37, I am sure they will announce something in the next couple of months

Luccid: Yes, the speeding tickets were bad enough to warrant a BMW Got clocked racing a Ferrari here in the OC and two more times doing what I thought was normal driving. Then I got clocked again returning home from Vegas. That's 4 tickets in just over a year. Number of tickets since the BMW? That would be zero.

Thanks everyone for your input. I finally went and took a good look at the G37 today. To me the design is a bit too girly. I like the lines on the G35 coupe much better. With that said I think I'll pick up a 6MT G35 Coupe and modding the engine. I can pick up a pretty low mileage G for about $25M. Even if I spent $5M modding the engine I still save about $10M.
