G35 coupe fuel door actuator

Whats with these fuel door actuators.

A couple of months ago it stopped working, all i did was disconnect the actuator move the pin back and forth a few times reconnect it and it started working again for a couple of months.

Now it has stopped working, do you guys recommend replacing it or just doing the same thing. Im just scared one day i lock the car and it doesn't lock the door and some idiot throws water into the tank.

Have it replaced if you are still under warranty...well not you, but your car.
