G35 coupe drive belt

This is 05 model G35 coupe with 42K miles, no prior history of any problems/repairs, just oil/filter change.

Last time I changed the oil and did alignment (1st time) Dealer told me the drive belt shows some cracks and need to be replaced. After hearing some questionable things at this dealership couple of times before, like my tires need to be replaced on average YEARLY (mine are still original and look good!) I want to run this by you guys - is it possible? Only 42K miles, on my other cars belts never had to be replaced sooo soon. I tried to see those cracks, but knowing very little about cars myself, I could not verify it.

What is your experience with drive belts life span on G35?
