Hope this finds everyone well. I've noticed that the black plastic around my mirrors is fading or something...its turning whitish. Also the same with the seal around my sunroof. Is there a conditioner or cleaner of some sort for these and to prevent them from fading again? I've tried washing it off, rubbing it off with a cloth, nothing really works.

I had the same thing. I used Mequires plastic and vinyl conditioner. you have to work it in with a micro towel to get rid of streaks.

I'm gonna ask because no one else did... what do you use to wash your car? Is it possible whatever you are using could be contributing to it?

that's a good point. It could be your carwash.

Thanks for the input guys.

Sorry for the late response, but I've been away for a few days. I use the Mr. Clean Auto Dry thing. Would that really affect it? For the seal around the sunroof, I took a rag with some Wet n' Black Tire Dressing and went with that since it says it can be used on other rubber pieces. I'll let you know how it works in the morning.

You can also use Honda Polish(yes for motorcycles but works well on anything) to make the color come back, it only stays for a day or so, but a quick fix for the time being.

Sorry, forgot about this thread and that I was supposed to update you on the sunroof...didn't work out as well as I hoped for but maybe 2 treatments when I have the time will do the trick. Still have yet to try the plastic, there just isn't enough time these days.

Go to either walmart or auto store, find the trim protect and shine spray made by STONER - which is the same company that makes invisible glass. If you have ever used invisible glass you will trust the trim shine. Other than that you could try some Armor All....... you don't have to buy Maguiers over priced stuff.
