I have a 2205 G35 Coupe with only 17,000 miles and the road noise is getting wrose. How do you fix this issue.

I am thinking of trying spray on undercoating in the front wheel wells. Has anyone tried this??

In Arizona you may be ok with this but I doubt it will make much of a difference. I say in Arizona since if you don't do undercoating correctly it can lead to corrosion when in contact with metal parts.

To me it sounds like you may be speaking of tire noise. Tire noise besides changing with tire wear can also change with ambient temperature. Lots of studies are taking place about this issue with various pavement configurations for several reasons. One is traffic noise to the neighborhoods surround major roads, another is for fuel economy. These two are very hot topics. Pavement type of course then affects noise levels inside the car. Temperature can affect noise generation from various pavements as well.

So the trick here is if you are hearing road noise increases due to changes in the car such as tire wear or is it changes to the pavement due to ambient temperature. One you can't do a lot about, the other may be a change in tires.

Have you checked your tire pressure?

You are hearing the front tires continue to feather worse and worse as you put more mileage on them. The Z and G has tire feather issues. Have the alignment checked on the car and have them align the front toe in @ .08 for each side for a total toe in of .16. If you have directional tires on the car right now. Go to a tire shop and have the reverse mount the tires on the wheels and then put that wheel on the opposite side it came off. ex. front pass wheel will now be on the driver side. Reverse mounting the tires will put the feathered edges on the outside. I would check the alignment first before rotating the tires.

It's the tires...the OEM RS-A's are known to wear fast. I replaced mine at 15k.
