I have an 05 G35 ,it will idle all day and temp will not go up, but as soon as i start accelerating temp goes to hot any ideas?

First, has there been anything done to the car recently? How many miles?

I would look at the thermostat I am a Infiniti and Nissan tech and had a simular problem on a 04 sedan and found that the t stat was not opening all the way causing it to overheat while driving.
