cold air intakes do nothing for the G35, best gains from any intake are from the stillen CAI(which is realy just a cone in a box with at Ztube) or a Z tube and a K&N filter

pest sounding is JWT pop charge but its prone to heat soak so you get no real gains

go with a Z tube and add a spacer and youll see gains and here a more aggresive sound

AEM CAI here.. got the dry flow filter.. low maintenance.. never needs to be oiled like the rest of the filters.. others will chime in with their short ram intake like the previous posts, just get what you want..

as far as hp, there definitely was a gain... sound? you can hear it, but your exhaust usually drowns out any other noise... it'll be a PITA to install tough... hope that answers your op... again get the dry flow..

please stop feeding false info to our fellow members ... i wonder where you get all this hearsay... do you have any numbers to support your claim? have you even tried a CAI? i have one and i can tell you that throttle response has improved and torque has increased... and this is not hearsay..

this is not false info, i know alot of people that have run VQs with CAI and have lost hp, i have drivine stock g35 and g35 with both CAI and pop chargers and lowend lose is very common, at wot it screams and more power is felt, but how much driving do you do at wot?

like i said best power gain with an intake is a z tude and a filter, and its not much but its more than any CAI or WAI, throw in a spacer and call it a day, if yo want bling bling and wanna lose low end power, which is what im sure your trying to gain than buy a CAI, a nismo CAI with the bypass so you dont suck up water

you want wot... i do that everytime i go to work.. how about 21,600 lbs of thrust.. and not one but two... seriously, i push my g35 once in awhile just to put a smile on my face... i also have a spacer installed and no, i don't race on the streets, only on the freeways when all is clear, like 11:00pm after work.. your statement about "CAI doing nothing for the g35" is ,sorry dude but totally BS... oh i also know a guy who knows a guy who has seen bigfoot, so it must be true...

well ur gains are coming from the spacer not the CAI, and if you dont belive me then come to the biggest g35 community online so we can teach you the basics on modding a g35, bolt ons for the vq are no good for more than 50 hp and 30 lbs of tq and thats with a tune, o and id like to see that big foot you speak of

no... i had the CAI for awhile before doing the spacer... and thanks but no thanks about teaching me how to mod my g35... heaven forbid what other BS you guys come up with... i have enough experience on what works on modding my cars... this is not the first car i have worked on... oh and forget about seeing bigfoot yourself... bigfoot is hearsay... now you're learning...

Both CAI and Short-Ram intakes have limited gains for the VQ35. The design of the intake is very efficient so only small gains are achieved with either setup. In fact, most of the added power comes from deleting the intake silencing baffles by using the Z-tube or a CAI strait pipe direct to the throttle body.

My comment was based on your "one" specific statement which I quoted.
