My rear right brake pads wear out quickly. It is very difficult to remove one of the caliper slide pins so I'm thinking this is the problem. It appears to have a rubber tip. I have never seen this before. Is this normal or should both pins be the same?

2004 g35x sedan. Right rear brakes wore down to metal after about 20k miles. They were aftermarket ceramic pads. Both pads wore down equally. Left side was in good shape. The original pads lasted until 70k, but they also failed on the right side in the same manner.
