I need some help my brother owns a g35 and he just recently blew his motor. He said that he was cruising then it started to lose power low oil caused it and seized the motor and its locked up. so we brought it to a nissan dealership and they say that the motor is done. They said they will replace it for a used one for 4g's. do u think u guys can give me some pricing or some suggestions other then paying 4g's for a used stock vq lemme no whats up need to get this car on the road.

That's interesting that a non rev-up VQ35DE (pre 2005, or none manual tranny) would have oil consumption issues.

Did he neglect his oil changes or possibly have a leak?

You can find a used G engine on eBay for $1000 + shipping. Probably another $500-$1000 for a private garage to install it.

Its a 04 g35 manual trans and there was no leaks and it was up to date with oil changes.

there are plenty of vq35de for sale. you can rebuild a vq for less than 4grand. good luck with whatever you do!

Buy it from car-parts.com that where I got it from when my 2004 maxima engine blew. I bought new motor with 600 miles on it for $2000.
