? not much else you can do... The VQ is a sensitive engine to rebuild. It has to be done perfectly. Go for the used motor, as long as there is some kind of warranty

What I thought about if mine ever blows is...

A used VQ35 is like $3k, a used titan V8 is like 1,700 and has about 90 more Tq iirc. If you can find a shop that will do it for you, why not get more torque for the same or less money? And you could then use regular fuel too if you kept it near stock.

Search http://www.car-part.com in your area for engines, there's plenty (10 titan engines in NY).

Custom fabrication, wiring, etc is going to cost at least twice that much. You're probably looking at around $10k for a quality swap.

Whats interesting to me is that this is becoming a common swap in the car show and formula D circuit, yet, no one seems to want to document it.

Everyone on the forums just speculates that it would be uber expensive with no understanding. It may be, it may not be... With Nissan using the same platform for a majority of its vehicles while utilizing a wide array of engines, one could reasonably assume that swapping engines should be a pretty straight-foward process compared to the old days. IIRC, most of the G's interior bits are on a separate computer, the wiring work is probably minimal.

If you have more than opinions that I'm wrong I would really love to hear it (totally serious, I'm interested in any potential problems one would run into).

From what little info I have found, it seems like the 56 can be bolted to the HR Z33 transmission's (the newer version not the 1st gen). The engine seems to fit just fine based on pictures.
