I have an 03 G35 coupe. When I let the car sit fir a week or so, I would find the battery dead. I installed a new battery, same problem. This will even happen if I have driven the car for 3-4 hours. One week later, dead battery.Has anyone come across this before? Everything I have control over is turned off after driving.

Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like you have something drawing power while the car sits. So have your electronics checked out to figure out what's drawing power. Otherwise you will end up with a failed alternator and the car won't start or run until you get the new alternator on.

If the alternator dies on you while driving, don't panic. Just throw it into neutral and find a place to pull over and remember you'll have one pump at the brakes (I had an alternator die on me while driving, but that's another story).

Hey wat was the outcome of this? did you find out what was wrong. i notice my does the same thing. i use my car to work everyday. no problems starting but when i leave it home for 2-3 days or a week and i start it for the first time the battery is wiped out.

I am going to see if the battery is charging right? w/ my voltage gauge.

i just wanted to see if you can give me a heads up on what happend with yours and ur conclusion.

First off get your battery and charging system tested, then you will need to have a parasitic draw test performed. This will test all your ecus to make sure they are going into sleep mode. I would highly suspect the radio is not going to sleep and drawing excess current.

you are definitely losing power from the battery because of something constantly drawing a small amount of current.

are you running stock stereo? aftermarket, dvd player, etc?

you need to check wiring if you have accesories...something is staying on.
