G35 and Chikd Seats

First time poster...

Can anyone give me a run down as to how the G35 works with kids? My wife and I have a Suburu Forester and VW Tourag. We are getting rid of the VW and keeping the Suburu.

We are looking at sedans in place of the VW and really like the G35. However, with a baby coming, we want to see how well the G35 works with child seats and little kids. We have the Suburu Forester as our "family" car but will the G35 suffice for the other times?

Again, not looking for it to be a "family" car but also want to feel safe and comfortable driving with a car seat....Thanks for any and all input!

I had my G35 since my son was 3,have had no concerns that worried me,I actually feel pretty safe.The G (to me) is a solid car,and has side curtian airbags,not to mention looks a heck of alot better than a Subaru LOL.

Most of the newer seats should fit (we use the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1) but it is a little tight at the base of the car seat. I had to struggle with the seat belt latches - basically just moving them out of the way so the car seat sits flat. We use the teather straps with the shoulder/lap belt as opposed to the anchor latches.

Have had several child seat since I had the car,noticed that the first child seat was a little too wide,if you loock at the rear seats you can see that where the car seat sits is narrow(hard for me to explain),the wide car seat pressed down hard on the leather at the corners,The new car seat is thiner and sits between the indentions on the rear seat.I dont remember the brand I bought though,guess what im tring to say is you may want to check the width of several car seat bases,narrow will fit better.I guess it depends on the age of your child,just remember safety is the main concern.Hope this helps,good luck with your new G.
