I had the same problem. The module was replaced under warranty by the dealer.infinititech1 wrote:in alot of cars you have to replace the air bag control module as well as the bags to reset it
Welcome to NICOGlenerin wrote:Thanks RED_DET for this procedure, it worked for me.
I have a 2007 Inifinti G35x. Living in Canada I have these Car mats called "Pant savers"....I guess they are a little bit thick. Anyway, I had reclined the passenger front seat all the way, and in the process the yellow or orange plug under the seat got pulled out of its socket.
After plugging it back in, I thought the light would eventually go out, but it just kept on flashing on the dash. I called the dealer, but all they could suggest was to bring the car in to them.
I tried other proceedures that were posted, but I guess this one is specific to my model.
I was so pleased when the light went off, that I just had to register on this forum and thank you for this.
On behalf of NICO, you're welcome! Glad to have you aboardGlenerin wrote:I was so pleased when the light went off, that I just had to register on this forum and thank you for this.
+1 +1RED_DET wrote:an ecu reset isn't going to turn off the light. you must put the ecu into diagnostic mode to get the airbag light off.
I just had to do this because I switched out the seats in my sedan.
Steps to follow:
Turn ignition on, but don't start the car.The air bag light will be illuminated and after seven seconds it will go out and then start blinking. As soon as the airbag light goes off, immediately turn the key off and count to (5).Then do the same steps above (2) more times. After turning the ignition off on the 3rd time around for (5) secs, turn the ignition back on again. The airbag light should illuminate and after (7) secs again it will turn off. At this point it should stay turned off and not flash, if it does report back. If it does stay off, start the car and make sure it isn't flashing.
