hello all, first post here, hope you can help.I have a 2003 G35, first owner and about 30,000 miles, always dealer serviced. Lately my ac keeps switching from recycled air to fresh air. I'll start the car, put on the ac and make sure it's set to recycled air, and a few minutes later it automatically switches to fresh air, I'll press the recycled button again and then a few minutes later it switches to fresh, this goes on every ride I take. It used to never do this, I live on Guam so I use the ac all the time and never have had any problems. Now I notice once in a while after its on for about 15 minutes it will put out a stale smell for a minute or two, which I can live with. But I like to keep it on recycled air and every few minutes it keeps switching to fresh air, which is annoying especially when I'm behind a bus or something. My dealer says this is normal, but any g35 loaner (or any other inifiniti model) I've had never does this and mine never did it until this year. I tried every setting to see if it was doing this automaically for some reason but I can't find a thing. My dealer went through the whole ac a few times this year and swears nothing is wrong, but I just want to have it go back to staying on either recycled air or fresh air. Anyone have any ideas what my problem is? Thank you in advance!

Do you use the maunal or auto climate control? I usually ran mine under manual and never had the issue. Didn'tuse auto much so I don't know if it would do that under that condition.

Yeah, I have it on manual. Actually I've tried everything, manual or auto, econ or non econ, different temps, etc. And it still keeps switching from recycle to fresh air, I'll keep searching online to see if anyone else has had the problem.

Wow, thats a weird one...Ask the dealer if they have replaced the in-cabin filter. It doesn't really make sense as the in-cabin air is cooler then outside air and therefore easier for the AC system.

Well, the only other thing I can think of is if you have it set to the defrost vents, but short of that, it's something I have never heard of before. It wasn't a problem on mine.

hmm, it may be that in-cabin filter. Maybe it's dirty or clogged and the air con can't recirculate properly and therefore keeps switching to outside air? Thanks for the tip, I'm going to check if that's ever been changed and if not give that a try.
