I am thinking that at just over 101,000 miles what my G really needs (besides fixing the damaged Y pipe and a responsible driver) is a higher stall torque converter.

I have a buddy who works for Hughs Racing here in Phoenix and could probably work out a very decent deal with him.

I would like to buy a used stock converter off ebay or from a junkyard and drop it off so they can gut it and make is stall at 2800 rpm and multiply torque at around 2.5:1.

It looks like Nissan/Infiniti used this 5spd in alot of cars but will the torque converter for the most part be the same?
