Don't know if this has been discussed yet & I hope I'm not posting this thread in the wrong area of the forum.

But I wanted to know if anyone has tried putting on the Brembos from a G35/350Z onto an Altima Coupe.
Was it a success or failure? & if it worked, what needed to be done in order for them to fit.

Thanks in advance.

I only found the thread for the G37 Akebono brakes, not the Brembos.

I believe the rears will fit, but the fronts will require custom caliper brackets. I have seen brackets to fit g37 brakes on a g35/350z, but I have not seen brackets to put the g35 brakes on a g37. (the altima coupe and g37 have the same caliper mounts)

f***, is there anyone else that can drop some knowledge about this. I'm about to buy some calipoers, rotorrs & brake lines for my Altima Coupe at a steal price. I don't wanna make the wrong decision.

I only know of the akebono's being a direct bolt on, only having to either alter or buy a new banjo bolt. WIth the Brembo's, I am pretty sure you'll have to get a custom bracket for it to fit. If you're getting the brakes cheep enough, getting a bracket fabbed shouldn't be too bad.

Getting the 4 calipers, 4 rotors & 4 brake lines for $750. Gonna spend another $50-$100 to get it painted the same Tiffany Blue as my harness bar. So not bad in my opinion.

Has anyone actually put the Brembos on their Altima Coupe before? I wanna see pics & know what they had to do? How they made the custom bracket etc.

From my research online, I read that the rears directly bolt on without any problems but the fronts require shaving down a tad bit.

When I ordered my wheels last August, I made sure to have them put the backspacing to fit these specific Brembos. So maybe that'll help.

Edit: Only 4 calipers with rear rotors & rear brake lines. Still not bad.

Dangeris was running AP racing brakes, brakes that were designed for the ac. The G35 brembos are not going to fit on the front. A custom bracket will be required to make these fit. You will have to find a machine shop to make them. This could be very costly. The custom bracket will look something like this
Image
This bracket is to mount G37 sport (akebono brakes) to a g35 or 350z
Image
These brackets run anywhere from 200$ to 400$. They are popular because it is a brake upgrade for the g35. A reverse bracket would be like a g37 wanting to take 14 in brakes off and put on 13 in brakes, that is why there is no brackets for what you are looking for. I am not saying it cant be done. I am sure you can get the brackets made. I am just not sure about the cost. You want brembos on the AC, get G37 brembo big brake kit (not cheap). I would just make sure that you can get the brackets before you invest the money and time.

Damn, I didn't know the Akebonos were that much bigger than the Brembos. & since they're a direct bolt on I kinda like that as opposed to having custom brackets mde.... how much do the front & rears usually go for?

I know the fronts go for 250 a caliper not including brake lines or rotors or pads. Pricing out the front calipers, front pads and front rotors alone is over a grand as I recall. Then brake lines was like an extra 200 or so. A BBK is almost not worth it to me unless you're tracking the car. I'd just paint the ones you've got and call it a day if its for show.

Go big or go home is what I always like to say. I found the Akebono BBK brand new for $890 shipped. I'd just need pads, rotors & brake lines.

I'll building a show car that'll eventually make it to the track.

Okay, so if I get these Akebonos, what pads, rotors & brake lines will fit on the Altima Coupe?

I'm leaning more towards Stillen.

Also, what offset would my wheels have to be in order to clear them?

Stillen all the way.

I've seen your setup and I don't think you'll have a problem with clearance.

Am I reading this correctly? G35/350z caliper brackets WONT bolt to the Altima hub, but G37/370z will?!
I’m upgrading for sure if that’s the case!?
