2007 g35x

anyone know what they will be pitching me when i go in for my next oil change? I got the 15,000 service letter in the mail. Just wondering what should be done.

btw they replaced my very badly chipped grill with no problem. they ordered a new one and it should be in with my next visit.

another note, the past few days it almost feels like my transmission is acting weird. like something is not engaging. anyone have this happen yet?

The grille was replaced on my x too about 3 months ago. I had no issue with my trani so far. I had my 10000 service 2 weeks ago. They rotated tires checked everything lubricated all the doors, oil change etc. I think it is in your service manual booklet.

$225? It seems to be a little too much.

I paid for my 10k service $130. I am in Canada maybe that's why.

i have always found joy in doing all my own servicing. since ive been super busy and have no free time bringing it to the dealer for simple stuff has made my life easier. just wanted to get opinions on what they would pitch me. other than oil and air filter i dont see anything else that would need a look at untill maybe 40k. at 40k i would do the trans fluid, x case and rear diff. when i get free time i might fab up a cold air intake with cold air ram air type design. but as i said i just dont have much free time these days. my other 3 cars i race have sat for over a year!

I think it would avoid your warranty. Correct me if I am wrong. Because you can't prove the service was done. I think anyway. Say something happens to your trani and they suppose to check it say at the 30000 mile service, but you did not take it to the service then they can say sorry but .....bla bla bla. you know what I mean? Am I right?

I used to do my own service also. I'm a mechanic for budweiser and am in charge of service and machine shop. But I had a hassle with Gm over my Z-28 not documenting my oil changes since i didn't have reciepts for my oil only the filters. I told them I got my oil for free. but when my motor went we had to go to arbitration to resolve who would pay for the new motor. Since then I take to the dealer for service and work a day of o.t. to pay for it........

that's exactly what I tried to say. It can be a pain in the b... if you have some warranty work. Be careful make sure you keep everything, document everything. Just in case you need it.
