G25x transmission questions

Hello all, I have rejoined the G community with my most recent Infiniti purchase. Due to my long commute, abundance of traffic and potential for ice and snow, I hunted down a G25x (rare in these parts).

Compared to my G37, the engine is obviously less powerful-- this I understand to be normal. But there is a delay with the transmission (Drive mode), usually when starting and it seems to rush into 2nd gear, killing acceleration. The vehicle has low mileage, and I suspect the previous driver(s) were not as aggressive as I am. In sport mode it shifts more like my other Infiniti vehicles in DS.

My assumptions: pervious drivers were much more conservative than I am using Drive mode, and the transmission has learned their driving style.
Previous drivers never used DS mode.

My question: is there a way I can reset the transmission computer to factory default and it will re-learn my driving styles?
Are there known hardware issues/recalls which I should be aware of?
Anything else you would like to share with a new G25x owner?

The vehicle is still under the powertrain warranty, and depending on the month/day it originally sold, regular manufacture's warranty. If something is amiss, I would prefer to get it fixed under warranty.
